Week of Feb. 22: COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Feb 23, 2021

As the country approaches the somber milestone of 500,000 COVID-19 deaths in the U.S., more vaccination clinics are opening in the region. For example, certain pharmacies will now be eligible for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in New Jersey, and FEMA will partner with Philadelphia to operate a mass vaccination clinic out of the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Arch Street.

Increased options for vaccination sites for eligible individuals do not negate some of the challenges local and state government officials have faced while attempting to vaccinate as many residents as possible. There is still a limited supply of vaccines available and the majority of the region isn’t fully vaccinated. However, we still encourage you to read more details about who is eligible and where they can be vaccinated in the PDF below.
